PRAYER FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON:
God, thank You that You're the One who placed a deep and joyful love of celebration into the human heart. For those listening who experienced lack, joylessness, stress or trauma during times when it seemed like everyone else in the world was experiencing peace, family, comfort, love and safety, I'm asking that You flood them right now, wherever it's needed, however it's needed, with healing, wholeness, comfort and the Peace of Jesus. Come, Holy Spirit, and restore OR gift for the first time: Joy, Celebration and Faith in Your oversight, care, justice and kindness. You are a good Dad, who revels in our rest, who adores and appreciates when we honour the good things You've given to our ancestors and when we share them with others. Please give us fresh energy, zeal and blessing in this season, that strengthens us, and sets us up to welcome this new year as a beautiful mystery, as opportunity, as purpose and immoveable solidity. We welcome You Jesus, again and again and again! Thank You for choosing to come here as a baby, and for being a toddler, a kid, an adolescent, a teenager and a young adult, all the while KNOWING what You were here to walk through and accomplish! We are SO GRATEFUL and we heap honour and praise onto You!From the manger to the cross and forever...we love You and we thank You.
Amen.
